How to get to Surprise View Cottages

Surprise View Cottages are on the southern edge of the North York Moors located in the valley bottom between the village of Hutton-le-Hole and Gillamoor.  They are within easy reach of Scarborough, Whitby, York and Thirsk; less than one hour from the major networks of the A1 and M1 and easily accessed from the A64 and the A170. 

DIRECTIONS:- From Hutton-le-Hole, take the road to the left signposted Gillamoor, follow the road over the moor then down to the bridge over the river and farm gate signposted Lowna; for Surprise View Cottage turn right down the short drive and the cottage faces you almost immediately after Lowna Farmhouse. For Field Barn Cottage carry on approximately 50 yds beyond the farm gate and Field Barn gateway is on your right.

From Kirkbymoorside, travel North to Gillamoor, turn right in Gillamoor, past the church and down the hill. Keep straight on the road in the direction of Hutton-le-Hole and approximately 60 yds before the bridge over the river you will see the gate leading in to Field Barn Cottage on the left. For Surprise View Cottage and Lowna Farmhouse carry on down the hill about 50 yds and turn left down the farm drive signposted Lowna.
